I don't think so. I would love to see it though.

It will happen. Not much difference than in a 15 beating a 2...remember kansas almost going down to holy cross?

This may be the year....I don't have time for the search now but a better question would be how many 16s have covered?

True, they did have a tough time winning that game, but I think there is a pretty big difference in the 16/1 and 15/2 matchups. Those 16 seeds are horrible. It will happen, but maybe not for another 50 years. That's my opinion.

Do you think all four 16 seeds will cover this year round one?

Will happen one day.
Many close calls in the past. NorthCaralina got a big scare from Liberty one year, along with others the above posters mentioned.

Becoming more and more likely as each year passes. Not that the 16 are getting stronger, but the #1's are getting weaker. Each year with the mass exodus to the NBA the #1 teams are getting much younger and it will not be long before a senior heavy #16 knocks off a young #1.

I don't know, guys. It will happen someday. But in the next 50 years? I have my doubts. Since everything is about lines, I will set one.

#16 beats #1 before 2055

Yes +125
No -135

Probably a silly thread to start, but I like hearing everyone's opinions. The only one that I remember that actually was close to happening was Princeton-Georgetown in 1989 or 1990. The Kansas game was close, but they pulled away.

I've thought about it, and I stand by my no answer. It's only 200 games over those 50 years. 200 games, where you have the top 4 teams in the land going against dog shitt competition. Those 16 seeds have losing records, much of the time. They are not even close to being in the top 100 teams in the nation, and really don't belong in the tournament. Most of the time, they just got lucky and pulled off an upset in their tourney, or they are in a very, very weak conference. No chance of a letdown for the big dogs when you're playing in the freaking NCAA tournament!

Yes it will happen ... someday. And when it does, it will officially go down as a the biggest upset in history. The sharps will see it coming and clean up.

Why in the world would somebody want to bet no for the limit. good luck when ever you collect. if you bet no you are in a no win situation. I will take yes for the limit.
