I know it sounds dumb, but I was a baller and I know it is a huge factor....even mentally for opposing teams. I doubt there is any information on the subject but I think it could be a useful tool if there was.

That is an angle I have never heard before. Quite a find. Let's see if anyone else pays attention to it

Jeez what next? "Does anybody take into account the brand of sneakers a team wears? Adidas give you more bounce than Pumas but they can't hold a candle to the new Flubber brand thats taking the basketball world by storm. Harlem Globetrotters wear Flubbers and thats the reason they beat the Washington Senators all the time.

That sounds like a dumb question, and I opened the thread to see the responses. You actually have a valid point, because rims do play a big factor in some situations. I was a gunslinger, and could give a list of the gyms that I felt were great shooting gyms. And playing on Illinois State's gym in high school, I could see that they had an advantage, because those rims sucked, and you had to swish it to make it. They changed them after that year, and the next year they were like normal, average rims. So your point has validity, and any ex-baller would agree. But there are not many places with bad, tight rims, and it's not possible to cap, imo.

Impossible to cap maybe on a national level....but if you specialize in a particular conference, I think it would be possible to find out this information. And I think it would give an extra advantage when capping...especially if you already know the conference well...like we know the missouri valley. Like the new avatar BTW?

Its a known fact, that back in the Pistons heyday, with the bad boys, the goal that Detroit shot at in the second half was alot more loose than the goal they used in the first half. I wish they had sec half wagers back then.
