There has been a lot of complaining about that Dante. They didn't look like they had any sense of urgency. When you're down one score ok then I get it but 2 scores...:icon_conf. I would think we'd want as much time as possible to get 2 scores.

Running QBs dont have what it takes to play in big games!

QBs like Vick and McNabb should be RBs!

The Eagles have wasted too much time on this guy already, stats show three INTs but he really threw 5!

Just because you have a big arm and you can run doesnt mean you can play QB in the National Football League, intelligence and making smart quick decisions has alot to do with it too!

McNabb didn't run the whole game though...he didn't even have an attempt I believe. Donovan deserves the brunt of the blame with the turnovers on some really poor passes IMO.

The Eagles lost the game on four plays

The first New England touchdown the CB coverage was too loose

Late 3rd quarter what looked like an interception went right thru another Eagle hands right to Branch for a big first down then they tacked on a 15 yd pentalty, that whole sequence could have turned the game

The burned time timeout on defense by the Eagles on the same drive

The second interception an errant pass by Mcnabb what hurt was you lost time off the clock and they ran out of time at the end.
The Patriots played like Champions in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The Eagles made the slightest mistakes and could not recover. Such a fine line between what makes a Champion from just a contender.

I think Philly really lost the game in the 1st half. They could have come away with at least 10-14 points but got none. They wasted their opportunities there.

McNabb threw for a ton of yards but I still cant believe how many times he missed open receivers by underthrowing or overthrowing the reciever by 3-5 yards. He is a very inaccurate QB and that is why I think he is overrated.

Dante is right. Philly had what, like 7 or 8 plays on that drive and then scored at 1:55. If they had simply gone THREE SECONDS QUICKER on each play and saved 20 seconds total they would have scored at 2:15, essentially giving themselves an extra timeout at the 2 minute warning. With 2 TO's and the TMW they could have kicked it deep. With a 3&out they would have gotten it back with nearly the full 2 minutes and the ball probably around their own 30 or so, needing just 40 yards to get into FG range at least.

Not scoring before the 2 min warning was the killer.

I know its debatable, but they also could have still kicked off with two timeouts...

You just can't burn a timeout trailing in the SB....

Regardless of the clock management it should've never come down to that. McNabb's first INT in the red zone all year in the first half and that brutal throw that Bruschi nabbed were very painful (the Bruschi pick was worse with the momentum off of the TO play before).

Levens and LJ were both open in front of and behind Bruschi and I think Donovan couldn't make up his mind. That one really felt like the knife through the heart when I was watching it.

McNabb didn't play well...I think he choked somewhat SB..in all honesty.... he forced balls and wasn't at his best....

If he had a solid game who knows...OWENS CAME TO PLAY!

What a player Owens is...

To think his talents would've been wasted in the Ravens offensively offensive gameplan...
:lolBIG: j/k ;)

You gotta admit JMan...we gave the Pats a better game than most of those AFC teams did.

It was a decent game...If Philly could have executed better early it would have been a tough game to come back in...

McNabb just didn't ever looked settled...no running game will do that though...No one is mentioning the fact the Eagles ground game couldnt get going, therefore making it that much harder to open up the passing game...

Of course I wanted NE to score that TD and go up by 14, shoot it was 1st and goal inside the 5..I thought for sure that was it....

Philly should be back...

The birds are young...and the corps is locked in for the long haul. Our corners showed their youth (but it's no excuse with the Pats playing with young backups at CB). Donovan did have a ton of yards but when we needed a play he coughed it up and you can't beat NE turning it over like that.

We'll be back...and we can get to Egoman and his Ravens in the preseason next year too ;). :lolBIG:

Philly was a bad football!

Its time to get rid of McNabb and Reid!

McNabb has the skills for the CFL but he is just not smart enough to play QB in the NFL! I know you dont like my post but you agree with it because you know Im right!

Young was a very good passer, much better than McNabb! He was not a running QB like Kordella, Vick, and McChoke. He was also a very SMART passer.

I feel sorry for Philly fans!

Without reading every reply, the birds had 3.9 qtrs to put em' away. Why the need to think they could do it in less than a min?
NE is and has been the best team in football recently. No arguing that. It is written.

Maybe Indy can take them down next year. We know pit really has no chance. ;)

I still rather have McNabb then Brady. If you watched the game, probably 80 -90% of Brady's throws were before 5 yards after the line of scrimmage. I think Trent Dilfer could make the same type of throws that Brady did. He missed horribly on his deep balls, most of them by 5 yards or more.

McNabb had a lot of bad throws but he avoided a lot of sacks that Brady would have never been able to get away from. The guy has great pocket presence but if he had one less interception the Eagles would probably have won.

Sorry Kobe, I know you're a good kid but I think McNabb has been raping the Philly fans and his teammates and especially Andy Reid for the last 4+ years!
