Today we have two games with 12 point favorites and one with a 2.5 point favourite.

After structuring bets for a single number payoff how much is say 11 worth in the first case 20-1, 25-1, 30-1? Then how much would 2 be worth in the second case?

Basically I'm asking if anyone has the long term breakeven payoffs, D2bets maybe? Where might I find useful information relating to this question?

Woody-- I have gone into great depths on this in detail time and time again at the RX............if you do a search, you should be able to come up with plenty of information on this topic.

Basically any number less than 10 is worth approximently 6-7 cents.......with the 2 and the 7 being on the high end and ABOVE.........while the 1, 3 and the 9 being on the low end.

OK, then anything over 15-1 on numbers under 10 is long term breakeven.

Why do moneylines value it more than this?

<TABLE borderColor=#ffffff cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 rules=all width="100%" border=2 frame=box><TBODY><TR bgColor=#eeeeee><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left> Thu 2/10</TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left>505</TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left>Sacramento Kings</TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left> +3 -104 </TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left>+135 </TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left> OVER 212 -113 <TD vAlign=center align=middle rowSpan=2></TD></TR><TR bgColor=#eeeeee><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left> 07:35 PM</TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left>506</TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left>Seattle Supersonics</TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left> -3 -106 </TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left>-150 </TD><TD class=main_body_blk noWrap align=left> UNDER 212 +103 </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

In this example -142 would be the moneyline without vig.

42 cents / 3 points = 14 cents per point.

Is the third point off worth alot more than the first?

Fishead, do you have any numbers to back up your implication that 2 is better than all other numbers besides 7?

Yes, look at Oly's point buying. You can buy about 10 points, but the last ones cost 80 cents !

Woody0 and anyone else who wants to know the breakeven price for buying 1/2 point for various pointspreads in the NBA check my post in the promo forum. I have posted a link where you can view a chart of 1/2 point values for college and pro football and basketball.
