Okay guys just to be fair here. Roberto claimed if no one was paid by
FEBRUARY 11th that he would walk away from the forums. And only post on his
site. Now I want people to get paid also. But what I don't want is people
misrepresenting themselves and using the misfortune of others and these
forums to profit off of it. If he is truly helping people it should be done
privately and not grandstanding for self serving reasons here on these
forums. Many who are insiders have always known. But its the novice or
beginner that I am here to protect. So if anyone has received any payout
Please now is your time to come on here and state your case. If not tomorrow
Is the day? Roberto walks away from the posting forums. Which is what we
agreed on. Hopefully this will help some come to the conclusion that the
money is gone. I have also seen the post where everyone was getting paid on
another date. But I have seen those for a year now. Enough is enough. So if
any money was paid recently please come on here and make your guy Roberto a hero.

i hate to say it, but i feel for all involved in that mess. i dont see people being paid. it has gone on way to long.

has there ever been any suggestions on starting an insurance plan for sportsbooks? just like any insurance, there is a deductable, and depending on what books(and balance) you have determine your risk. each month you pay your premium for coverage, in case the worst happens.

doesnt seem like a bad business idea. what would the legalities of this be?

Frankie, I'm not up to speed on the exact details of what Roberto is doing these days to try and facilitate payment for the remaining PanAm people, but I can confirm that he was instrumental in getting my remaining PanAm balance (low-to-mid 4-figures) paid to me last year.

He did this at no cost to myself, and (presumably) at a fair cost to him personally.

I'm also aware of at least two other veteran posters who received payouts from PanAm as a result of Roberto's efforts.

Will his current efforts be successful ? I don't know, but at least he's giving it the old college try, and forking out quite a bit of his own money, in an attempt to get some people paid. I don't see too many other people doing that.

I agree with Hailfax, atleast Roberto is doing SOMETHING. Thats more that can be said for a few people that touted this book so highly.

Scotty took a position in internet marketing at Panam. He was also the 1st person to get us in touch with the Gaming commission. He was in no way responsible for the failure of Betpanam. I had 3 way calls with principles and Scotty. He helped set them up. He did all he could do to persuade the investors to pay, but they kicked him aside and basically said Know your role. But, he did what he could being in the situation he was in. He also paid dearly to keep his reputation in tact.

I remember him now-he was the guy that posted here for them

From Tow
This is the official statement of Mr. Raul Cortizo Cohen, Secretario Ejecutivo of the Junta de Control de Juegos of Panama :

Aseguradora Mundial, issuer of the $ 181,702, has received notification of Resolution Number 324 on January 21st 2005 . The Company has 30 ( thirty ) calendar days to execute the resolution and release bonded funds. Aseguradora Mundial has duly notified Corp Britannia of Resolution Number 324, given that Corp Britannia has the option to directly process payments within said term. Should Corp Britannia decide not to directly process payments, Aseguradora Mundial will proceed and disperse bonded funds within 30 ( Thirty ) days from the date of notification, being January 21st 2005. At this time it is still possible that Corp Britannia will opt to process payments directly. Should this be the case payments will be processed earlier than February 21st 2005.

What slim hope i have will be gone on the 22nd

Well said, General. Scotty was in no way responsible for the failure of betPanam, yet he paid a sum high into the 6 digits to make sure his name would not be tarnished. Scotty is as honorable as they come, all his players got paid out of his own pocket. That was a big bullet to bite, yet he munched on it... And he's a real gentleman too, never having pointed a finger... dude just paid and moved on...

I hope I don't sound like a douchebag here - I'm just meaning to answer the question. I got paid in full last February. Not a huge amount ($1200 ??) As I recall I put in my request a couple days after the Super Bowl and it took about 3 weeks.

It wasn't even as slow - and not nearly as much BS - as Jagbet the time I made the mistake of trying them.

Sorry to hear people are still getting doinked around. Good luck.

I honestly feel very bad that I could not help more here. I tried so hard to work with Rose and she wanted to do the right thing, but she had no pull. How the financial backers could not find the heart to pay off their debt is beyond my comprehension.

No matter what book, no matter what is said about them, we have to weigh our risk and reduce exposure if that money stolen will hurt bad.

I hope something transpires guys.

The world is full of trash and it's sometimes in the form of a human being.

Take care
