NFL Vs. NBA: Which Would Succeed More At The Other's Sport?

When comparing NFL players vs. NBA players, and who would would be more successful at it's counterpart's sport, many sports followers initial opinion would more than likely favor the NBA since they are generally thought of as the best athletes overall in any particular sport. However, the more I think about it, the more I feel there are many NFL players who may be just as, or even more athletic than basketball players. Those football players would primarily consist of Wide Receivers , Cornerbacks, & other players in the secondary on the defensive side of the ball. Would NBA players' overall athletic abilities prevail, or could specific NFL players hold their own, with their physical play being the difference? If you could compile one team each of 7-11 NFL & NBA players to compete against each other, one football game, then one basketball game, off the top of your head, who would those players be, and which would defeat the other the worst in it's own sport, then be the most competitive in the others'.........?

Depends on position. But what the heck are the 300 pound linemen going to do on the court? At least most NBA players are quick and should have good hands so they could receive or play corner.

Noooooo D2, that's why I broke it down and said if you could compile a team of NBA & NFL players to compete against each other, who would they be.Im talking about the most eligible, or best suited/all around athletes for such a challenge vs each other. Not the complete team. And also, who would defeat the other the worst and also be the most competitive vs the other in their own sport..

Example:

NFL Team:
Terrell Owens
Tony Gonzalez
Chris Chambers
Troy Brown
Julius Peppers
Champ Bailey
Charles Johnson

NBA Team:
Allen Iverson
Dwaye Wade
Baron Davis
Jermaine Oneal
Kenyon Martin
Lebron James
Ray Allen

Ohhh I see. In that case I'll go with the NFL'ers. Gonzalez and Peppers could have played in the NBA I think.

That was just an example D2, although I think a few of those players are pretty close to accurate in a fantasy competition such as this. I was curious to see others' opinions on what players in each league they thought would match up the best against each other....

Can't forget Antonio Gates. He didn't play a lick of college football just Basketball and he is now a top 3 TE in the NFL.
