Remember wbat the IOWA STATE football team did this year?

They started conference play at 0-3, only to storm back out of nowhere to have a very successful season, culminating with a bowl victory.

Now the basketball team may be doing them one better!

After starting conference play 0-5, the Cyclones have stormed back to win 5 in a row and even their conference mark at 5-5............including victories over OKLAHOMA and TEXAS TECH.

They actually now have a chance to make the BIG DANCE........after being left for dead.

I agree Fish. Almost had a heart attack at the beginning of the game today as that was my largest play of the day. But they came back and played well.

I really think they have to win the Big 12 tourney to get in though because of their shakey road record.

As mentioned a couple weeks ago, IOWA STATE has a tremendous homecourt advantage.

One that is as good as any teams in the nation.

only ONE problem

Cyclones HC Wayne Mor(on)gan is the WORST coach in all of basketball - someone incapable of leading water down a toilet.

trust me - i saw him do his thing at long beach for some time. whenever fullerton had to play them we were happy for we always knew at some point in time "Coach Dumb F**k" (what we called him) would do somethng stupid and cost his team the game - and that they did

i can only hope "the black hole" (i also call him that for when he is on the bench whatever team he is coaching has that on their bench) leads his team to the NCAAs so i can unload on a 1st round play - betting against this clown!

this guy is almost as bad as Rod Baker (for those who saw him "coach" at irvine you know what i am talking about)

That was my play yesterday. Morgan vs Knight nom contest. How in the world could TT have a double digit lead and lose by double digits.:monsters-

Its hard to phathom that MORGAN is at the Iowa State helm and ALFORD is at the Iowa helm when one considers the best coach in the state is coaching at DRAKE...........................

No it's not Barney Rubble ( Davis).

IMHO it's Greg McDermott at UNI. I would love to see him travel down I380 to Iowa City and coach the Hawkeyes.
