It was an interesting day...I recently bought some gift cards on ebay for a good price and after being sick for a week decided to go shopping for valentines day gifts at best buy and target (where the cards were from).I live in the catskills ny and decided to go to kingston (any ny'ers at may know where this is going) to shop. like i said i had been sick and i am about 1/2 hour into the hour drive and i get the feeling that i am going to $hit my pants so i stopped in a local gas station do my business and grab a piece of pizza since i stopped.15 minutes later im on my way. i get to kingston and pull into the mall parking lot where best buy (and next door)and target are. I start walking in and one of the front windows gets blown out and people start running.Yep, i am in the middle of this friggin shooting. it was like a damn war zone.there were cops, swat guys, helicopters. I never seen anything like it. I swear its like it follows me.I moved up here after 9/11 to raise the kids in a safer atmosphere.I understand more and more why my friends nicknamed me "dark cloud".
i have spent the rest of the night trying to figure out if i am unlucky for constantly finding myself in strange situations or lucky for having the runs. I would have found myself in the middle of all the shooting and knowing my luck would have been shot but it would only blow my nuts off (not that i need them after being married 10 years) and i would spend the rest of my life talking like high pitched eric. One other good thing came out of it. i had planned the day so i could stop on the way home and send a post up for the pro bowl under 64.5 (if it didnt change) that i didnt have time to do by the time i finally got out of kingston. So, How was your day??:monsters- :monsters-

Had a biz there in your hood in Hudson. It's a nice area (in the summer) a nice place to have a family. The people are friendly like family. Not much in the way of economic growth for the past 70 years though. I enjoyed my stint in upstate ny. There are worse places.

Golfing Arkie, nice ANALogy! (cough, cough) Now every under I bet I will be mentally comparing it to irritible bowel syndrome!

vegasisstilldead, that is an incredible story. Being a capper, you surely grasp the law of averages, which now favors you NEVER being involved in anything like that again. I would try to maintain your "glass is half full" attitude. Each time I'm in a near miss in my car, I think about how that could have been the end for me had I been 1 second earlier or later. At least you have some great stories to tell on the Rx and at the bar. :drink: And you're still around to tell them.

P.S. I've been married 9.5 years myself. I hope we both get :hump: tonight. (Separately, of course!)
