I know of an outfit that does it that way. They seem to do very well, they use newspaper lines but only do coll. and pro football. These lines don't move as much as hoops. It is convenient, as often you don't want to talk to anybody, you just want to get down. There phones tell them the time and day the call came in.

I guess they have a recording of all calls quite conveniently this way with time etc. And some is allways there, even for midnight games.
I just hope the message isn't conveniently lost when i call in my big winners. The voice mail is off cell phone i assume, and my service hasn't allways been perfect with my voice mails. ther is also no one there to correct me in my errors in reading what i need, but i've had no problems, jsut wondering if any could. Unless somehow i recorded myself making the call as there are no witnesses to my call, but i dont want any anyways.

Most guys worry way to much if there action is down. It always is. Over many many years, there are disputes from time to time, but it always comes down to a mathematical error, or somebody got the final score wrong. Pre-internet days there were times we would actually have to wait to get Tuesdays newspaper to check late night Sunday scores. There were score phones but they would cut off halfway through the scores, wouldn't be updated very often, and were expensive to use.
