Johnson or Shilling go down for the year, which team is better suited to still win the division?

I think Schilling means more to the Sox than Johson to the Yanks in a "mental" capacity but if the Yankees staff pitches like "they should" they would have a better rotation than the Sox. Now that is a big IF and the Sox staff could turn out to be better, but as a betting man you'd have to take the odds the Yankees staff would be better...that being said, I would NOT bet the Yankees to win the division at the crazy odds that are being offered....

i may have confused you more but thats my story......

Would hurt both and neither could recover without acquiring another quality starter.

Once again, like last year, the Red Sox appear once again to be the better team on paper overall.

The Sox weren't the better team on paper til the trade to sure up the defense...that trade was without question the main reason they won it all...Can't wait for baseball!

Theo 2-1 over Cashman, good point.

All this and defending WORLD CHAMPIONS!
