If I change over to that Firefox/ Mozzila browser, how does it effect other things ?

Will my e-mail addy be unaffected ?

How about everything I have bookmarked, do I lose it ? Can I switch back and forth between them if necessary ?

Any tips ? Should I make notes of my favorites first ?

Any reason not to do it, etc. ?

Changing from AOL was a pain, but here I'd have same ISP ( Comcast).

Thanks,

Email add will not be altered at all.

I am not sure about the others as I do not use them. I use Maxthon and it allows me to change back and forth and "favorites" were not effected either.

Sherman- What do you use? Someone here told me about this Maxthon browser that I use now and there is no way I would go back to IE.

the feature I like about this Maxthon thing is that it allows you to open multiple groups of sites at one time. You go to favorites and click on lets say baseball books and it will open all of your books at one time. Another thing is when you are on on site and you go to favorite to open another one, it does it in a newwindow automatically without taking you from the site you are on. It really does not open a whole new program where you have to go down to the bottom of the page to switch windows, it is called "tabbed" browsing where you just click on the tab of the site you want to view.

Security is the biggest problem with IE right now. Unreal how screwed up they are at Microsoft.

The cool thing about Firefox and a couple of other browsers are, you can keep adding features to it. I downloaded a feature that reloads any website as much as I want without having to touch the computer. Set it for 10 seconds and that page will reload every 10 seconds.

How much loot does Microsoft make? If they wanted to they could make 100 times more but they don't. They could move to Canada and tell our gov to stick it. I think gates is a good guy. He and his staff are just smarter than everyone else and he came along at the right time. His products are more vulnerable security wise because they are the most widely used by a landslide. Those other browsers arent better security wise they just havent been hacked into yet.

Just wait, Gates will take all the new features of those other browsers and make IE7 soon. Just like IE crushed netscape and word crushed word perfect.
