I can remember when I was a kid my Dad you to preach to me about having a good name, he use to always say if u borrow money from anyone make sure you pay them back on the day you agreed to. I can remember over the years when I dug a big hole I couldnt get out of. I borrowed money from every Tom, Dick, and Harry and I couldnt pay nobody back. the hole got deeper and deeper till finally I drew a line and start making payments to everybody. it took me like 5 years before I got out of debt with everybody, boy but its a good feeling when you realize you start doing the right thing. I live my life alot different these days. how so true what my Dad had preached to me when I was a kid. all the tea in China cant buy your name.

Great story. Can you tell us anything about the Formula 1 racecar bets that the greek took? I heard that there was a payout problem or dispute.

Funny that when this thread was started the OP actually owed me a nice chunk of money, the good news is the debt has since been settled and we are on great terms now. Dinner is on me next time you are in town Rainbow.

What I hate is when someone owes money, yet, can go out and buy rounds of drinks and munch on lobster.

I hate to borrow money, I pay it back asap and even offer them electronics or even car keys as a sign of good faith to prove I was good for it. Those that have lent me money have taken me for my word and didn't need those items.

I agree, good feeling to have ethics and integrity.
