My cousin is a police officer. Nowadays, it doesn't matter if you are a cop, criminals have no respect for you. They don't think twice of shooting a cop these days.
and then if a cop try's to defend himself shooting back, and kills the bast*rd, they get the hammar dropped on them.
so, no, i would have no desire to be in law enforcement. most law enforcement officers have a problem with control in their life, i guess that's why most are cocky

The kid goes to school for 3 classes. he's a junior. Then he leaves and works till aftrnoon at a machine shop, then works for the volunteer fire dept, then does as many ride alongs as he can with police. He is getting some training courses set up for summer. Looks like he will gradutate 6 months earlier than his class. I am proud of him. He has taken drug tests for us and all clean. I worry about his safety, but someone has to do it. Just hope he doesn't come rolling in here with his buddies from the force.
