Yes I do handicapp Golf, but I'm not selling anything here. My Question is? What will David "I was once #1 in the world," Duval fire in the first round at the Nissan Open? It kills me to post props on this guy, but last week he was the biggest bet prop on the board. I made the total at 82.5 un -145. What do the rest of you golfers think?

Have no idea, I wish he would go out and shoot a 120. How long is this jerk going to keep getting exemptions?

Sorry, I misunderstood, I thought you were trying to set a line at a book and were looking for feedback.

Cool, if you would feel comfortable sharing the book that might offer this prop, I would appreciate it.

Duval is a crapshoot right now, natrually he has no chance to make the cut the way he is playing but to hang a number in the low 80's in a non-major tournament on a PGA pro is risky. I can't think of any other pro who will tee off in round one with an over under at 80 or more. Just the fact that he still tees it up tells me he has believe he has some game left. Duval can be compared to a once very good race horse coming off an extra long layoff - a longshot but still able to run. Personally I would be hesitant to hang any number on him for round one. he could shoot anywhere from75 to 85.

85 is a conservative estimate - DD is playing worse than that - he shot 88 on about the easiest course on tour - could easily go low 90's on a bad day.

Scoring Ave is 79.5 this year thus far. I would bump it up a bit, because I would thinkk almost all the action it would generate would be people taking the over. I would hang something like 81 over-140.

Not sure where he shot 88.

Wilhelm, Between me and you, and the rest of the 10 other people reading this post. I don't think he can break 85. RIV is water logged. If you look a little closer at his current stats, he averages 255 yards in length of the tee. Being that the course is very wet, means it's all CARRY. Not to mention I spoke with a friend that played in the Pro AM, and the rough is long and punishing. I'll bet you a Big Mac he shoots 85 or higher. I FEEL for the guy. His average of 79.5 for the 2005 season were on, lets say less than challenging courses. The only real course he played was Pebble Beach and I believe he shot 83? Wait till tomorrow. Thanks for your participation Wilhem. I always see you write positive things about Hollywood and I appreciate that. Talk to you in the future. ARE WE ON FOR THE BIG MAC?

Thanks Glaken, I know there are tons of GOLFERS on this site, and I could not find a forum for the golf fans. Maybe the RX should add add a site for the golfers of the world? 79 seems a little low for my taste, but thanks for the input!!!

Boozer - sure you got a bet. To be honest i didn't really handicap the course when I made my post, more or less based the statement on your average PGA layout. You make a good point about Riveria - it can play tough when it is set up for a US Open (not the case here) or has been drenched by recent heavy rain. The thing that puzzels me is why Duval even makes the effort unless someone sees something there. He will have to pull out the big stick this week if the course is wet but that means keeping it in the fairway to score anything close to the cut number. Not easy for players at the top of their game and very difficult for guys struggling like DD. Personally I have never been a fan of Duval but like you ,do feel sorry (in a golfing sense) seeing a once very good golfer struggle to break 80. In real life I can't feel sorry for a guy who gets paid big money to shoot 80 (if you know what I mean). Good luck this weekend, take care, wil.

PS. Glaken is an excellent caddy I hear, he can carry two bags 36 holes with ease. (works cheap):103631605
