I bet Teddy Bruschi had a stroke due to the long flight he took for the Pro Bowl.

I haven't heard it being mentioned but I would guess that it had something to do with it. Man that stinks. He wasn't even supposed to go but as luck(if you could call it that) would have it, Ray Lewis drops out and Teddy takes what I would guess would be the longest if not one of the longest flights of his life. You have heard of the warnings for people with circulation issues concerning these long flights haven't you. They wouldn't let him talk to reporters upon leaving the hospital. I think it is due to impaired speach. Man what a sad event. The 911 call from his wife can be found on this page...

I've heard of this; Deep Vein Thrombosis. Always get up and take a walk during the flight just to get the blood moving; even if the flight's only a few hours long.

Canseco sequel...

I surely hope Teddy makes a 100% recovery and suffers no ill-effects, but...

I saw Jose Canseco on TV again last night admitting that he personally injected Teddy Bruschi in the buttocks and taught him how to use roids along with many other supplements...When asked what the percentage was in his mind for how many NFL players are using steroids, Canseco said:

"At least 50%. Absolutely. I personally injected many of them myself and taught them how to use steroids. I will name names and do another steroids tell-all in my upcoming literary sequel: Juiced II: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Mouth, and How Football Got Bigger. This book is due out in late July, on the day that camp opens for most NFL teams."

Borat, my wife said the same exact thing about it being somehting to due with the flight. She is in the pharmacutical industry and has some knowledge to back this theory up.

It is a shame. Bruschi lives in the next town over from me and I've heard he is a great guy-real down to earth and a good family guy.Doesn't matter to me if he ever plays a down again as long as he can live a healthy life and enjoy the more important things in life.
