I don't know how to feel about this. I have never once put an ounce of effort into this, it's just there automatically. But I can name every college basketball national champion year by year with no effort, and almost ever WS title, and Super Bowl win too. For the last 20 years! I remember scores of games from when I attended them at age 7. I feel like that jeopardy guy, cause it's such a nerdy trait. But I swear I've never once put any effort into it. It seems like Journeyman is kind of the same way, talking about all of those old games. Anyone else relate?

What Was The Score Of The 1987 Rose Bowl?

Don't know scores of those kind of games. Only Illini games from 1983 and stuff. And I don't remember college football that well. College basketball no problem. Off the top of my head....was it Ohio St and USC? Just a guess.

I don't think I can do that but I can look at pointspreads for about 20 games for about 2 minutes and then tell you exactly what they are without looking 5 minutes later.

I am terrible on World Series and SuperBowls........unless they were highly significant games or involved the Red Sox or Packers.

Yeah, me too, for the most part. Except on CBB Saturdays when there's 85 games spread out over 6 pages at Pinnacle. That's tough. If I can't memorize it all I can at least remember them well enough to be able to notice when the line moves.

I'm not talking about studying stuff from before you were born. I'm just talking about remembering events without trying.

Here's an example. I was 7 years old and attended the Illini-Ohio St game in 1983. Keith Byars was playing for Ohio St. They were up 13-10 and Illinois held them with 1:43 left on the clock on a 4th and 4 from about the 20. Jack Trudeau throws 2 passes to Scott Golden and they are in striking distance. Thomas Rooks runs 21 yards for the score with 1:06 on the clock, and we won 17-13. That year, they lost to Missouri 28-18 in the first game of the year. They then ran the table in the Big Ten, only to lose to UCLA 45-9 in the Rose Bowl to a Rick Neuhisel quarterbacked UCLA team.
Mizzou 18-28
Ohio St 17-13
Iowa 33-0
Michigan 16-6
UCLA 9-45

I'm a sick dude. I know.
