That is exactly the problem. Some heffer will try to lure you in thinking once you get to know them it will be hard to not dig them once you meet. I talked to one girl on net and will not talk to any more. That is exactly what happened to me. Luckily I am a prick and have no problem looking you in the eye and then walking away without saying anything and never talking to her again.
I found my current (2nd) wife online. Didn't cause the divorce, though -- that happened long ago. We've been together for almost 3 years and just had our 2nd child and so far so good.
I swear by the internet for dating because you can do 10 dates a day in which you can openly talk about the deeper stuff right away. So much play acting goes on in traditional dating that it takes forever to find out anything important. And if you get UNlucky and score on the first date, one or both of you could fall in love with the other and then you're stuck and all the important stuff gets left to chance. I do my best to minimize the chance element in what my family looks like 5,10 and 15 years down the road.

about 3 years ago i was looking through AOL member directory to see what screen names where online in my city .
ended up instant messaging this chick who had a profile and a homepage with a few pictures. we lived about 2 miles apart.
we messaged a few times over 2 or 3 days .
i told her to stop by and say hello one night and she did .
cute as hell and 22 years old. i was 39 .
we dated for 5 months . great piece of ass.
i have never even tried anything like that again. really wasnt trying that night, just happened. i wasnt married or anything so it didnt break anything up.
