cause they are theoretically trying to match up teams that will possibly be on the bubble at tourney time, and these matchups might help get one of them in, and take away a bigger name school...

Plus these are also some teams they feel if they get in, can "bust" your brackets by pulling an upset or 2....

Makes for some good matchups...

They invite a bunch of midmajor teams to play each other to help improve there rpi. But I agree, I dont think these games are going to affect too many slots in the tournament.

Are these games not on the schedule at the beggining of the year? Do they "invite" the teams to play after it appears they have a shot at the tournament?

all the teams playing its listed preseason. Matchups might be to set up good RPI battles.

What a stupid name this is.

These games have less than zero influence on anything related to the field of 64.

Good matchups. They should call it "Good MAtchup Saturday" thats about it.
