This is to anyone who posted their names under the "post your pokerstars name here" thread. Slater11248 is a 17 year old thief/hacker. if anyone contacts you over aim asking to direct connect for various reasons..DONT!..he will send you a virus that steals your password...he has taken up to 20k already from various poker players. his real name is steve. I didnt post my name in there but steve knew my aim name from a previous experience. While online 1 night a random name asked me to help him with poker. I found this not out of the ordinary because i write for a poker website. He direct connected with me and said he was going to send me a hand history file and to explain to him what he did wrong. Well it wasnt a hand history..it was a virus that my anti virus software picked up and removed. we got into an argument and he told me the person who put him up to it was "neverwin". Neverwin is a high stakes hold em player on pokerstars at the 100-200 level..im sure some of you are familiar with him. after 3 nights of thinking i decide to check out neverwins website. www.neverwinpoker.com. i came across various threads with the name Slater11248 stealing money from everyone...and i knew that Slater11248 was in fact steve who i had been talking to for over a year...im sorry if i confused anyone with this story...its just a warning...do not accept any random downloads from anyone !
