despite losing 3 games in a row.

Poster Illini is right, the RPI is basically a joke.

If this were like college football and they used the RPI like the BCS...........

KANSAS would be playing WAKE FOREST for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Complete updated ratings through Mondays games here........

Wow , this has become wors than the BCS this year...The RPI isn't usually this much off...Not taking up for it, but it has to have alot to do with Texas Tech and Iowa State coming on strong and of course Ok St and Ok have continued to play well...

Meanwhile The Big 10 looks like just 3 teams will get in...

Even still that is pathetic! Illinois clearly deserves #1

Because Dante, the NCAA takes a ton of credance into the RPI ratings for teams on the bubble come selection time.

Two IOWA schools are sitting right atop that big bubble.........IOWA STATE and my year long cinderella, NORTHERN IOWA.

Would love to see Illinois play at Cameron Indoor Stadium against Duke. Where Duke will not lose another game. I believe North Carolina is the #1 RPI team IMO. On a neutral court Carolina will beat anyone in the USA today!

I think OLY just figured out(or gamblers :103631605 ), that OHIO STATE is not eligible for the BIG DANCE.............LOL!

Two days ago they had the over/under on BIG TEN teams making the DANCE at.........

4 OVER -340
4 UNDER +300

Currently.......

4 OVER -125
4 UNDER -105

I do however think MINNY will make the big dance and make it four teams exactly that make it from the BIG TEN.

Minny is 17-9 and should be favored in their remaining 3 conference games with IOWA--PURDUE--PENNST

Damn, I wish I would have seen that line when it was up. I would have put my entire bankroll on it. Not joking one bit. I firmly believe Minny is NIT material.

Fish. maybe for bubble teams but.. if the NCAA even for a fleeting moment thinks Kansas is #1 they need to have there heads examined and we need a new system in the ncaa

I think the RPI is used MUCH more for rating teams on the bubble than it is for #1 seeds and such.

Thank goodness!

That Olympic line opened at Under 4.5 -150. I managed to get it. Next few days it started to move to Over/Under 4. I managed to get Under 4 at plus money as well.

Iowa's loss this weekend was huge for that play, IMO. And Ohio St. - Minny was thisclose to going to OT, so who knows what would have happened. I just get scared that the selection committee will give 4 invites to the Big 10 because of big conference bias. A run by Iowa or Minny in the conference tournament may hurt anyone who has the under like me.

GL everyone.

Iowa would have to win last 4 regular season games plus one toss-up tournament game to even be considered.

Under 4.5 is a lock! Congrats on getting free money. Wish I would have seen it.

Fish - I agree about Iowa. But if Iowa beat Illinois, they very well could have been back on the bubble. I don't have my schedule in front of me, but I think they have Mich. St. this week too. Those two games were the crucial ones when I was handicapping the prop. After Mich. St, it's slim pickings.

Illini -- Thanks. The 4.5 is good, I hope. But Olympic moved the vig around on that prop therefore allowing more shots at Under 4 at plus money, which I took. Now I need Minny to fold. I track these bubble teams closely, and my tourney looks far different from the one ESPN posts every Monday. But I think the ESPN tourney model is probably more accurate. They have Big 10 at four right now.

BTW -- Illini, I think your boys are the true #1. This week's ESPN/USA Today poll is pretty accurate in the top 10, IMO. UNC #2, BC #3, etc.

Man that was great to see that under 4 that somebody pointed out from that thread I started on the PAc 10 of all things yesterday. This foums is so valuable for things like this, props, futures, soft lines like that. This one was much better. I got +250 when I locked in under 4.

Minnesota Gophers have never (under this coach) had a good finish to the season, They are a disaster on the road, they have one scorer who might have peaked, they have no bench. They do play good Defense however. They can lose 2 or 3 to be honest, they have never made any sort of run in the Big 10 championships. I just dont see it at all. This is a classic NIT team.

Apollo How many PAc 10 teams get in and how close is it to only 2 making it? I see a 95% chance of 3 or more in. Am I right?

This web site must generate large amounts of traffic. That's all I can say. Big 10 Under 4 +240 was up at the end of last week and then Big 10 Under 4 +300 was available early yesterday.

D2bets pointed out an obvious overlay on Depaul about a week ago to win the whole thing and the lines collapsed at that book as well.

Let's hope Big 10 gets 3.

Try,

My disclaimer: This is not a conference I follow closely. That said, here is how I see this playing out:

Arizona and Washington are in. That's 2. Both will be high seeds.

So that leaves Stanford, UCLA, and Arizona St to try and figure out here.

Let's start with Arizona St. because they are the easiest. They're done unless the win the Pac 10 tourney. They have an RPI of 58, a SOS of 59 and they have to play at Washington, at Washington St. and and home vs. Arizona. That's just murder. Though circle the Arizona game because they're gonna be getting a ton of points at home in the last game of the season. It will probaby be senior day or something like that.

Here's where this prop gets tricky:
UCLA -- RPI 38, SOS 17. They have to play rivals USC, go to ND and then play both Oregons at UCLA. That's not too bad of schedule left. I think they are in.

Stanford -- RPI 35, SOS 33. They have to go play at the Oregons and then finish with the Washingtons on their home floor. Because of their scheduling, I'm not sure they get in despite what has turned out to be a good season.

ESPN is projecting Stanford gets in as a 4. They're probably right. But I don't want to lay -500 on the over. That's real gamble with a huge risk/small reward to bank on Stanford getting in this thing.

But there is one other wild card here: The conference tourney. This is one crazy conference and having someone come out of nowhere to win it is a possibility. The tourney is at the Staples Center in LA, by the way.

Personally, I don't like the play. I hope this helped.
