tuesday espn classic showed the usa/ussr hockey game on its 25-year anniversary - and it was AWESOME
thursday from 5-7P (PST) espn classic will be showing the usa-finland game on THAT 25-year anniversary
the russia game is shown quite frequently. the finland game IS NOT! i heartily advise getting this game on tape - for it might be some time before it is shown again!
as for the finland game - i recall it very well. after we beat the commies - i was PUMPED and couldn't wait for the sunday finland game. the game started @ 8A in CA and i was up by 7A. when the game came on tv - i was GLUED to the set but my parents, bro and sis were all asleep when the game started so i couldn't make much noise. eventually they all woke up and we all were GLUED to the TV watching the game.
even though i was only 4 at the time (making me 29 now
) i recall a lot of the game (i was so smart i was a Soph in HS, too - not bad for 4 - huh?)
