Need some shaving opinions!

Hey guys,for years I've shaved in the shower using the cheapest shaving cream possible and a triple blade disposable razor.Never any problems,I could shave up,down and sideways never any irritation @ all.However,all of sudden within the last few weeks after I'm done my skin burns and its kind of red. My first thought to solve the problem was quit buying the cheap shaving cream. but also what are your thoughts on the best razors to use?

*What shaving cream do you prefer? Why?

*What brand name razor do you like? How many blades?

*Anybody prefer electric shavers? If so,why?

Electric is no good long term - too many ingrowing hairs etc.

Best is Mach III turbo or the new one thats one up from that. Gillete Gel is best.

Don't cheap out on razors - come on there are other things to be more prudent about like betting.

my advice is to buy the better razors...

personally, the cream doesnt matter so go cheaper there if u want...

Kiehls shaving balm is the best and it is better to use it with a single edge blade! Go to kiehls.com I use the blue eagle.

nothing but nothing is better than the Shick Quattro

I perfer it over electric and any other blade out there. sure, its 9 bucks for 4 cartridges but its almost impossible to cut yourself and the closeness can not be beat.

cream i just use barbasol. its cheap, traditional and very foamy. I really dont like gel types.

I haven't cleaned shaved since 1991 and have no intentions. I prefer the Don Johnson feel.

I went out with an Itailan gal once, freakin rain forrest, weeks later I was still picking wires out of my teeth.

I shave my head, so am well versed in this field.

Use a MACH 3 blade and use the Gilette vibrating handle with the battery in it.

For shaving cream, recommend most GELS, preferably EDGE.

I use a cheap disposable razor and any kind of shaving cream. Never a problem and I get close shaves, no cuts.I admit the Quatro and Mach 111 are great but I refuse to be manipulated by advertising. Paying 9 bucks for refills is insane. Wouldn't matter if I was a millionaire. I refuse to be manipulated. :notlisten

I thought the same thing until I tried them, they are fantastic and last much, much longer than the cheap throw aways.

I'm also a Edge Gel guy. Shaving is a pain in the ass, the less hassle the better.

I was just thinking about this the other day. My advice would be to use one Mach 3 razor two times at most. Save money elsewhere. Also, Kiehls is real good shaving cream but I got this all natural stuff called (don't laugh) Kissable Face. Yep, it has a great pump action dispenser so it's clean too. GL
