I'm going to put a nice size bet on Clint Eastwood to win Best Director. I've got it from inside sources in Hollywood that Clint is the winner, but only by a small margin.

I will risk $11.50 to win $0.88 at Pinny on Jamie Foxx so I can buy my friend Fishhead that $0.88 movie The Basketball Fix I wrote about in another thread.

Seriously though I can't imagine Foxx not winning Best Actor and got to go with Hillary Swank for sure. Loved her in Eastwood's movie.

AND She is is only -320, you might say thats a lot of wood to lay, but i think its a hell of a lot safer than wagering that on Randy Johnson and seeing some jackass in the bullpenn blow it for him, this is a done deal before it even happens. Odds are just as good she will win as Jamie Foxx, and she is -1100+

This guy Lucky Lashue is some sort of expert I guess, He has been doing th elocal show for the past few years and hits a pretty high percentage, last year he was 21 of 24, but then again all he had to do was pick the lord of the rings ebery time that year. But he has been doing it for awhile andis pretty good.

But he gave out these predictions. Take them for what they are worth:

Supporting actress Kate Blanchette
Supporting actro Morgan Freeman
Actress Hillary Swanks
Actor Jamie Foxx
Director Mrtin Scorsesee
Picture The Aviator

He gave out winners in eveyr category, but I only took down the major ones. Not sure what ones people can bet on, but I would assume these are avaialble.

I posted the other day in the Global forum I like Freeman even though the number is lost. At the time it was -200. I think he wins easy. I won't be surprised to see Scorsese beat Clint. Check the Global or international sports forum for some Oscar theads.

Although I agree with your thoughts, I think ANNETTE BENNING will WIN and has tremendous valur over a minus 3.40 favorite...

She lost to Hillary Swank 5 years ago, when Hillary was nobody. The Academy has a way of evening things out and it doen't hurt her Annette Benning that her husband happens to be Warren Beatty! :smoker2:
