Baseball: Is WSEX the only book that only takes bets if the scheduled pitcher starts?

At least on-line; I think all plays are cancelled if the listed pitchers do not start for each team. There is no option to play the teams only. Probably a wise move on their part, but are they the only ones that do this?

Are you asking if you have the option of "action" or wager only counts if "listed pitcher starts?"

Are you saying you can play Action when betting baseball at Wsex?

What I'm saying is that you can NOT place a wager without the LISTED pitcher starting.

IOW--The wager will be cancelled if Either pitcher does NOT start.

Probably 95% of the time, it's not an issue anyway as the scheduled pitchers do start. But if one changes and you have a lot of plays on a given day then it can be hectic to figure why your balance is off.

Have you checked their rules (if they are posted yet) for this season? I have never heard of a book not accepting action bets on baseball. Run-line and totals natrually the starters must go. Books just give you an adjusted line if a starter is scratched. The adjusted line is based on the quality (or lack thereof) of the replacement starter. Action means just that: if the game is played you have action no matter who starts, the price only changes for you once you bet the game "action" if there is a pitching change which is called the adjusted price. Bet Listed pitchers and one of the starters is scratched all bets are cancelled - sides, run-lines, and totals.

Canbet allow you the option of betting the listed pitcher or action. You would bet action if betting against a good pitcher, and if you are betting on a good pitcher, you bet the listed pitcher.

This only works for sides and not totals.

Most offshore books allow the options of:

1. Action
2. Both listed pitchers
3. Away listed pitcher
4. Home listed pitcher

Apart from WSEX I think that SIA is option 2 only. If playing option 2 there is no action if there is a pitcher change, while playing other options will result in a modified new starting line after a pitcher change and either 3 or 4 is no action if one pitcher is changed.

Several European books are option 1 only and the bet and odds stand regardless.

The reason I went with listed pitchers only 9 years ago when I designed the system was that I wanted to keep it simple. And I never wanted to have to go through explaining to someone how or where we got the new line. To me it seemed like I would be exposing myself to a lot of hassles.

To keep it simple, we cancelled the bets and possted a new line. IF you wanted to bet it fine, if not that's fine too.
