I would its a tossup between Rod Carew and Pete Rose...I heard some really bad Reggie Jackson stories as well but I never saw it first hand....

Rose and Carew both very ignorant to the fans...two of my favorite players too, but both were not fan friendly on more than one occasion...

Anyone have a good story of an encounter with a well known athlete?

The Big Hurt threw overhand a batting glove at me in Sarasota in late 90's after I aggravated him throughout a spring training game. I was very high and being a pain in the arse, but I got the glove. He and Albert were not very happy with me. :smoker2:

Wilt Chamberlain. When I was 12 yrs old, I was coming out of the bathroom on a plane and passed through first class and saw Wilt alone in first class and asked him for an Autoghraph and he called the stewardess over to send me away!~

Lavar Arrington is the biggest jerk in the NFL. For a preson that is very much overrated, stardom went to his head the minute he signed the contract. He hates signing autograph for kids, unless a camera is around, and before he started being guest on all these shows, was very bad with the press. what an *******.

Micky Mantle by far, I sat at a table next to him once and be was cussing out the waiters, managers, and even the kitchen guys for no apparent reason. I was on a date and asked to move as far away from him as possible.

On a more positive note, the nicest I have ever met would be Tom Glavine, Mark Lemke, and Willie Stargell.....They asked my girlfriend at the time to join them and I got to come along. LOL

Sandberg had probably just found out that his wife was screwing another teammate of his. It happened at least twice.
