Pac-10 coaches and Presidents were complaining about 7-10 teams playing possibly 4 straight so they solved it by eliminating 9 and 10 from it. Most good teams have to win 3 straight. Tough road yes, but your opponent faces the same thing. Gives value to those who can get it done off the bench.
