If you live off gambling only that tends to happen, take a couple of days off and bring your confidence back up. Everyone who lives off gambling only will tell ya, You have to be incredibley strong in the head, or you will go bust.

What is the cause of your exhaustion? I don't know that betting could do that, but other things in life, yes. I've never not known right from wrong, but I've been so depressed before that I didn't think I would make it another week.

Working long hours can do that to you. I can remember working between 80-90 hours a week during Football and Basketball season. after march madness I was completely drained.

Nah, not really. Something that has been a problem for quite some time. I think I am finally coming to my senses. It's just tough to change, what has been a life time.

Strange you mention this subject BB. I am feeling the same way. Nothing to do with job - all is good with the Rx. and myself (I hope), but family matters starting with my mother in law passing in January (wife is taking it hard) to problems with my side of the family in the states. I know I will handle it but in the meantime nothing is coming easy these days.

That is pretty vague, and I'm not sure what you mean. I do know that everyone has problems, though. Some big, and some bigger. But everyone goes through rough times, so you're not alone.

It's ment to be vague, no offense Illini. It's just hard to make change, put it that way. In your head you know it is right, but the situation has sucked you in so badly you question your every thought

I have no idea what you mean specifically, but I can assure you that having weird thoughts like that is okay. I struggle with suicidal thoughts sometimes, and feel like there isn't much now or in the future to live for. And I have some pretty tight friends that have shared that they have also had thoughts like that. Don't believe in all of the facades that people put up, like they don't have any real issues they are dealing with. We all have layers of protection around us. Some people, we peel off a few, other people we peel off a few more, and maybe a couple really close friends, we peel almost all of the layers off, and they know us as we really are.

No sucidal thoughts, but you are right, everyone has some form of a problem. My problem I have, I am facing, and the sheer reality is setting in. I have mixed emotions of happiness and sadness. But most of all, I need to pursue what i know to be right and get out of the never ending cycle of emotional stress/pain.

I think I should have been a counselor. For one, I've been through a lot myself. Secondly, when people start to open up, I feel a lot of compassion, and want to do all I can to help them. If you ever need anything, let me know.

I have to believe this has something to do with women...You have to invest in you, find something that interests you that can take your thoughts away from what is bothering you. Set a tough goal for yourself in something and stick to it. Keep BUSY first and foremost. VT

Doing the right thing is sometimes the hardest option, but the only one you can look back with a smile about.

When I get drained I like to travel just on my own for a few days...leave the wife and kids behind...just think, look around, think some more, no distractions, get rested up, focus on the big picture. Wife never likes it when I do that but she understands and doesn't give me a hard time.

If it's time for major change and you need to sort out your thoughts, there's nothing better than a few days totally alone. Just my 2c in case it helps. GL.

Mr. Parsons is correct...get out for two days. Drive. Don't plan on figuring out your trouble. Just drive. Drive one day. Stay at a hotel/motel come back a different route the next day. Not really that expensive but it can take loads of pressure off.

I'm guessing this has to do with a wife or mistress. Just a guess, but good luck and know that we enjoy you here and want you to continue. tulsa
