I think the Yanks will have alot of long winning streaks this year. on paper they should cakewalk home. they sure look like a team in a class of its own.

Has any team ever not been swept in a 3 or more game series ? I don't know for sure, but I highly doubt it. NYY will lose at least 50 games this season, probably closer to 60. I think if you bet them every game, you'd do better against them than on them.

But as far as not getting swept. That would be tough.

Good to see you back Anthony, hope all is well.

I have to agree with Fish that they might get swept the first series, infact I hope they do. The Yanks can pick up where they left off in October.

I'm looking forward to the first Red Sox - Yanks series, too.

With no research, I suppose it's possible a team has never been swept, given shorter seasons back in the 1900's and 1800's, the length of time baseball has existed, and the number of teams that exist, but I still doubt it.

I'd gladly take a prop that the yankees are swept in at least one series this season, at anything remotely close to even money. I'd bet my home on it at +100 on credit, with a book like Pinny.

I guess everybody thinks its like hitting the Lottery for the Yankees to do that. we will see, time will tell. and Fish by the way the 1st series they play I will lay you 2-1 they dont get swept, and I will post up the money with you. thats alot of wood +200.

I won't try to verify that. I'll risk homelessness that yanks get swept in a series this season at +100. I'd bet $250,000 they get swept in a series, on credit, just don't tell my wife , I bet the house ! The bet is hypothetical, I'd do it though, but it's not doable !

Somebody please draw a fair line on this, no joke line, a good line !

why would need to verify it ? i'm not gonna post something that is incorrect.

yanks were swept 3 times last year.

I didn't question your integrity #1, but if I could make that bet ( wife wouldn't let me, for sure), I would do it. NYY getting swept 3 times last year adds credibilibility to my stance. Is current NYY team that much superior to last year's team ?

I did retract my position, to a degree that it's never been done, after thinking about it some. I'm saying it would be a great bet that they get swept at least once, this season.

you are 100 % right . the odds are greatly in your favor that they get swept atleast once. hell, they got swept twice at home last year.

most teams get swept 3 or 4 times a year.

Assuming they win at a 66.67 % clip, (108 wins) and they play 54 consecutive 3 game series, they have about a 13 % chance of NOT getting swept even once.

Of course, baseball is very streaky so real world results may be different.

If I was a book, I would make the odds something like -1000/+700 for no sweep and only count series of 3 games or more.:smoker2:
