Anyone have this yet? I am thinking about picking it up since every MLB game, including spring training is on it. Wanted to know how it would work in my cube at work during the day...

any insight would be great!

If you work in a office building you cant get reception unless your employer will let you put an intenna outside of the building. As far as XM goes, its great for baseball, music, College basketball, college football, and sports talk channels. Ive had it 2 years now.

they just raised their monthly rates but that now allows you to listen on your desktop. Costs the same as Sirius but Sirius has NFL and Howard Stern (next year)

I recently won but havent received yet an XM with 3 year subscription trying to figure out how to switch it to Sirius.

XM is off the meter! I have XM in my car and home. I dont know what to do w/out when I have a rental.
I had tracvision until it was stolen and then I not to replace it as I did not like the way the antenna looked anyways. If they ever figure out a way to make a smaller looking antenna, it will BLOW UP!

I can't believe how much money those companies are losing. How will they ever be able to turn a profit on subscription fees alone??

While nobody knows that answer yet, media analysts say 50 million subscribers may be needed to turn a profit.

Therein is the problem for Sirius and XM. Both companies are far from that total. XM has 3.2 million, with Sirius far behind at 1.25 million.

Last year, Sirius lost $712 million and XM dropped more than $500 million.

i WILL get Sirius. my car's radio just went out on me. i think (and hope) it might just be the fuse since the dashboard clock also went out, too and i hope so for i want to wait until close to jan to get Sirius for I KNOW they will have all sorts of specials and great prices to get people to Sirius for Howard.

for what the Nazi's @ the FCC have done to Stern and everyone else in this country (a 100% PURE DISGRACE) i am getting Sirius as my way of saying "F YOU!" to the govenrment and Clear Channel!

Dont you guys get tired of Stern? He is good for an occasional dose, especially the TV version but I have to think daily listening gets old. How long until one gets desensitized to talk of lesbians and "are those real?" conversations?

These two will eventually have to go to more commercials. Might be a selling point today not to have them, but the writing is on the wall. It will end up being just like cable.

I love XM.

Once you tuned to the MLB game today, it gave you the score with outs on the screen.

You also get a sports ticker with some gear. Just upgraded to the SkyFi 2 this week and it has that feature. Also works like a DVR where you can record with it too.

I like Stern but i'm not switching to Sirius. Not a fan of their music programming.

i agree that all the strippers get old on Stern. i usually flip to sports radio or something but I simply can't stop laughing when he has his Wack Packers on and also when he does the news at the end of every show.

Sure beats Mark and Brian and Ryan Seacrest.
