If your IP address can be traced can you be monitored by the feds on a daily basis?? If so do they bust you right away for say 10,000$ worth of action?? Or do they let it build up and nail you later for much more??

See the "Patriot, un-constitutional, Act". They can about do what they want and how they want now.

Do you know that if someone brings your name up on Western Union, it shows AL your transactions for up to a year.

Sherman,

I was told today that even though you send 1000$ or under at a time, your name can be pulled up on their computer and it will show ALL your transactions to and from for up to a year.

What law have you broken? There is no fed law that prohibits sending money or even placing bets. There may be a state or local law but that would not involve the Feds.

i imagine the feds would start with you , wouldnt they ?

i've often wondered how someone who starts a offshore gambling watchdog site, talks about his plays , mentions on many occasions about leaving large sums of money at numerous sportsbooks isnt a little nervous...

it would take an effort for them to come after any ol' poster , but i would think it would be pretty easy for them to make a case against the shrink..

am i wrong ?

not that i'm hoping something like that happened , cause your site and help have been great.

JFS- Hopefully you would not be the first to go down. If you start hearing about people getting busted, then get worried, but I dont see it happening.

If the feds were to use the info against you it would be along the lines of tax evasion not illegal gambling. thats what they use to get drug dealers, mafia types, terrorist sympathizers and state level democrats...

ProPokerPlayer....I had a dream last night....I'm the one that love's you!! I've been drinkin heavily though, so take that for what it's worth.

Look ProPlayer's right...tax evasion...that's what the IRS would use. At this time no one is really trying to bust US citizens that are playing online and even making a living online. BUT LET the IRS just audit you (and they audit folks all the time) and you better damn well have been accounting your wagering wins & losses. I say losses because you think to yourself....hell, I never won much and last two years I lost 11k wagering. Now, though, I've won 20k and I'm not going to mention it or tell anyone. That is only 9k difference and no one will see that in my lifestyle. Well, I have to say to you....good luck with that. These guys get paid to go over bank statements; deposits and withdrawals. Good luck getting that one over on the IRS. So, be careful. The patriot act we might have to worry about in the future (I too think it is a load of commy bs and is trouble) but right now the IRS is your biggest concern. AND THEY are a LOAD OF SH!T too, by the way. tulsa

This quote should answer all questions, except maybe the tax evasion. Still that one is a bit dubious since all they could do is say you filed a bad return, refile and maybe pay a penalty unless you actually make a good living doing it.

Shrink would have worried more, but with the site sold he has nothing to fear from good old Freddy the Fed. He should worry more about Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell being in the neighborhood and telling the police to crack down on these devils in disguise, or in this case they would claim it is the Jewish doctor from New York!
