Gambling channel on tap for cable
By late 2004, a new cable and satellite TV channel dedicated to gambling will likely be airing across the United States.

The Casino and Gaming Television network is in the development stages, with plans calling for it to offer everything from tips on playing poker to tours of casinos around the world.

while i'll watch almost anything in gambling i would enjoy it more if it were regarding sports gambling......

There have been tout shows on cable forever. 24 hours of serious handicapping is a lot of programming. I hope it works and wish anyone involved good luck.

They could do specials and replay them like the NFL and HBO network,which i really enjoy.

I'd love to watch crap tournements,BJ tournaments as well as Black Jack tourneys.(pun intended)

They could run bases prop tourneys NFL cappers tourneys,they could fill 24 hrs. easy.

Travel Channel is 18 hours heavy on Nevada and gambling advice. I bet it is somewhat similar stuff, with more tournaments and maybe news magazines that cover the latest in gambling nationwide. I have talked to a few people that heard the investment pitch and they just laughed at it. They thought it had no chance to succeed in getting funded, but somehow it did. It will depend very heavily on getting ad revenues from casinos so its "fairness" quotient probably won't be all that high.

yeah WB is not kidding. I was suprised to see on the travel channel, they actually discussed playhing video poker for profit for a little bit in the middle of a segment about casinos.
