Not sure about this specific event, but as I've stated in the past, I don't believe in "Bad lines". Either a wager is accepted or it isn't. Once it is accepted, it should be honored, no matter what in my opinion.......

It's obviously a BAD LINE and it will not be honored...

Sheesh...

A line that should be around minus 1.10 each way miraculously appears at plus 732, off by 742, and you have the nerve to ask? :finger:

thats a bad line and will be cancelled

I hate when this comes up.......
Same exact thing as if I made a wager with someone on here and reneged on it. I could simply claim "I can't pay you buddy, I got my team at -6 and I know some places they were -2. That was a bad line, I just can't pay you". Absolute BS. Software accepting a wager is equivalent to a handshake between 2 people making a wager.......

There has to be a bad line rule. Most can see the difference, especially in the case of this topic.

All beings make mistakes and do not need to pay a monumental price for many of them, this being one.

Oh, I know Michael, was not directed towards you , just the subject in general.I do admit this one is a little obvious, and I'm not arguing because I totally see the point, but I don't care.........I don't care.......... I don't care............lol
Their mistake, and if wagers got through before it was caught, they should be honored. Nothing will ever change my mind/opinion on this.......

Like I said, it started around +1010, then went to +814, then to +714. How is that a bad line when it had that kind of movement. And I did not bet it, it was a joke. The reason I asked was because I seen line movement.:Countdown

Hache, I could have a disgruntled employee hang an NBA number off 20 points. I am not going to honor that.

" I didn't make those wagers. It was my kid, or possibly my grandson, or it may of been my brother, but it wasn't me. I shouldn't have to honor these lost wagers since I didn't make them." .....or...... "I accidentally clicked on the wrong line, will you change it? Noooooo, you won't change it??...why not...?? It was a legitimate mistake or misclick, and you won't remove the wager, it HAS to stand??"

What's the difference between this first excuse, coming from a scammer, or even if it is legit, which Im sure it has happened, or the second excuse, (among many others) and that of a book using a "bad line" rule. The gambler above is automatically labeled a stiff in the first "excuse" or an idiot with the second excuse, or just "out of luck" when they accidentally selected the wrong line or side. When a book does it, it is overlooked for whatever reason or excuse they can come up with.Sounds like a double standard to me.......

Instant messaging is worse. It's a bit tough to fully express your true intent(feeling) in an online chat format.

I have yet to see someone bet a bad line and it was against them. NOWAY in hell anybody should be HONORED a bet on a bad line. the closest I would come from honored his bet is give him or she a WARNING, and if it happens again he or she can find a new book to bet. just my opinion.

This could be a Pinnacle thing instead of using -7-105 - +7 -105 Normal concensus line) they are using -2 -922 +2 +732. Math guys how close are the consensus lines to the combo point/juice lines mathamatically?

I got a middle involving several points at 2 big books simultaneously today and neither book cancelled. I'm really not sure if it was a bad line or there was an injury or something though. Closing line ended up being somewhere in between the 2 lines.
