I just started playing the last couple of months on line.I'm trying to learn the right way....I went and played for the first time last nite at Foxwoods,2-4 limit holdem table and got beat like a baby seal. I actually was up a 100 or so in the begining.Anyway i swear the avg. preflop calls and raises were 7 players in everyhand.Which leads to the question why is it that any book or class i have ever read on any subject never matches the true reality...jesus.I mean the game was looser more than anything on line.

Anyway,i want to go down once a week or so, to give so more will live.
Ya wanna hook up let me know.

I've played there. The reason I don't go there is because its a 2.5 hour drive one way (I'm in the Berkshires in western Mass.). I agree that the game is the loosest and craziest you'll find anywhere. I prefer to play for those five travel hours, so its online for me.

If you break even online you can beat that game. Just play your online game and don't allow yourself to get into action without a playable hand. And no alcohol until after the serious play is over.

The book for this game is Lee Jones "Winning Low Limit Holdem". It should be a gold mine. It's important to fold your hand if you don't hit the flop, while everyone else will draw thin and put bad beats on prime hands.

Never played Foxwoods but hope to some day when I go back East. Last time played 10/20 at the Taj Mahal. That game was fairly loose too, with players easy to read. I considered 20/40 but I was doing so well in 10/20 I thought I might not do quite as well at the higher limit.
