I have just been feeling the tension here at the rx between ILLINI fans and ILLINI haters. No reason for it. We all sound like 8 your olds..."my dad could beat up your dad" kind of shiit. I tried to stay out of it, but could not resist chiming in. Though there may be several ILLINI fans here at the rx (4-5), there are a lot more haters. We are comparing apples to oranges. It will be settled on the court just like it always is.

there has been alot of debate about how Ill could win the ACC. I think this proves that Ill had a MUCH easier schedule than Duke,UNC,G-Tech,Wake,etc and they would've had atleast 4 or 5 losses in the ACC.

The Wolpack's problem this year...they just don't have the same defense of years past, in the post in particular....big teams just overpower them.

Not an Ill hater Kornholio just feel like they played in an easy conference all year and dont think they could've finished the season with 1 loss in the ACC,thats it!

This past college football season, the Big 12 was clearly superior to the Pac-10, but that didn't mean that Oklahoma was better than USC.

I do, and I'm saying that I don't believe you can simply say that because a team happens to win in a lesser conference that therefore they could not also win in a better conference. That's fine that your opinion is that Illinois would not win the ACC...all I'm saying is that proving that the ACC is a better overall conference is nowehere near conclusive on your argument.

My main point is that the best team does not always come from the best, or even one of the best, conference(s). Sometimes the best team just happens to be stuck in a lesser rated conference. We can argue about whether or not that is the case here, but I think we can agree on that as a premise.

UNC would have a big advantage with their big guys. But is it a bigger advantage than the Illini advantage in the backcourt. In the Final Four, Illini will have a huge homecourt advantage too.

Just remember the Illini probably have no more "road games" this season.
