CRIS won't give me a bonus for book-to-book transfers

Isn't that weird?

I could take money out of one book with Neteller and put it into my CRIS account and get a bonus ...

... but I can't get a bonus if I do a direct book-to-book transfer.

Absolutely amazing. Is it any wonder that I haven't ever played at CRIS in my life? I probably never will either (UNLESS THEY HAVE A GREAT BONUS - :lolBIG: )

Cincy in all honesty and not taking any sides I know some of the top tier books (CRIS is one) are not crazy about book to book transfers these days. I really don't know all the details but short of doing away with them altogether they are making the process as least attractive for the player as possible. My guess is there is more money is going one way than there is coming back the other leaving some books sending out more transfers than they get sent back thus depleting offshore cash relatively needlessly. These days natrually moving money is not as easy as it once was. If that makes any sense.

Wilheim,

I understand what you're saying, and I have no problem with what they are doing. Also, I would like to add that CRIS told me that I wouldn't get a bonus BEFORE I made the transaction, so I dont hold it against them.

That being said, someone can simply do two Neteller transactions and effectively do the same thing. Also, we are talking about money GOING TO CRIS, not leaving. That is why I don't think it has much to do with the "flow" of money. I just think books simply dont want to deal with one another if possible. It would suck if another book owed you 20K for a few book transfers, but wasn't sending you the money right away and all you could do was call and ask for it.

Go Figure. Bottom line book to book transfers are not what they used to be. At one time when everything was credit you would be surprized how little actual cash exchanged hands but things have changed drastically in the last 7 or 8 years. Good luck this week.

In the future you'll see more less books doing transfers to one another unless they are sister books. Hey can you call your local and tell him you want to transfer to another local while you are up for the week?? And then ask for a bonus to boot. Your bonus should be the ability to have funds transfered, not any cash or freeplay to boot. You'll see many changes to the offshore book to book transfers within the next 2 years.

My bonus is that they do a transfer for me? LOL - ok, whatever.

I always tell people that when you win it's YOUR MONEY - not house money.

When my local owed me, and I was not in town, I have asked him to give my payment to a buddy of mine - and for all he knows, that buddy could have been another local.

The bottom line is that if I win, I shouldn't be ashamed to ask for my money. It's my money.

Also, if a book doesn't want do tranfers, that is fine too. CRIS didn't take my transfer and lost a couple of dimes in deposits, will lose close to 10 dimes in action, and about $500 in vig.

So, don't ever think that a book is doing you a favor by giving you a bonus. They are giving you a bonus so they can get their hands on your money - interest free, I might add.

Dante,

It was the sports pager that you guys were talking about in another thread that made me want to sign up with them. I will do it soon, but Olympic had a 10% reload cash bonus which I couldn't resist, so I went there instead for now.

I have rolled over my money at Oly, but I hate taking money out as soon as the rollover is met. It just doesn't seem right to me for some reason.

CRIS will get my money in a a few weeks, I will get the sports pager, and we will all be happy:)

I have been promised the pager a half dozen times and have never got. I wouldn't use it if I got it, but make sure you get it in writing as they promise them all the time but don't follow through.

CRIS not doing bonuses on book to book is classic differentiation. Just like a airline won't sell you the same seat cheap the day of the flight that they would a month in advanace, CRIS knows or at least thinks that in the long run it is better not to offer bonuses on book to book while offering them for more "square" deposit methods like WU or Neteller.

Hugg, you "shouldn't be ashamed to ask for {your} money. It's {your} money."

Nothing wrong with that, when you've fulfilled the terms of the agreement.

You're right, X:) You got me there. :suomi:

Shrink, I wasn't "looking for bonuses" to play at CRIS. If CRIS offers a bonus, and I ask for a bonus, am I now "looking for bonuses"?

I had most of money stacked up in one book so I wanted to put a little bit somewhere else. I read Dante write about the sports pager and the 10% bonus, so I figured I would put it there. When they didn't take it, I sent it to Olympic because they had the 10% bonus.

I send money to Hollywood and Pinny all the time - I never get a bonus and never expect one.

I would NEVER take my money out of Hollywood and Pinny unless someone gave me a very good reason to do so, and CRIS hasn't done that - not when I get -107 and -105 at the other shops.

Nice of you to take a shot and say that someone is "looking for bonuses". It was a bonus that was offered - not something I was "looking for", geez.

Hugg, can i be your bookie?

I'll give you the same lines as Holly & Pinny
plus 1% rebate on losses.

What do those girls have to offer that i don't?

X-file, 1% rebate on losses won't do me much good. I am no longer the loser square that I was 10 years ago :103631605 Sportsbook.com and betmaker.com made thousands off me when I was a beginner (you should have been my bookie back then), but I am slowly making it back.

Lately, I haven't "sent" money, but I do keep money there. While I withdraw money periodically, I do not withdraw money from those books to send elsewhere just for the bonus.

I just like to keep the minimal amount (10% of bankroll) of money in offshore books, so I can run out of funds in one book. When I have to reload, I do so at Pinny and Hollywood - and I added Olympic this time.

cincy,

I apologize if it came across that I was taking a "shot" at you when that wasn't my point.

CRIS just happens not to be the book to join if one wants bonuses...

Now that I clearly see what happened, CRIS should honor what was offered to you...

Most of the top books do transfers with on another right now. What leads you to believe that will change?
