After 10 years with Indy, he has signed with Detroit. Hard to believe he could be happy leaving such a potent offense. Looks like Dallas Clark is the future. That is not a bad thing as he has been solid.

Dallas Clark returned to Humboldt County to assist victims of the May 21 tornado that devastated the town of Bradgate.
Clark just completed his rookie season as a tight end with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League after being chosen in the first round of the draft.

Approximately 1,000 people attended a fundraiser held in Bode Friday night by Clark. More than $17,000 was raised. Clark is from Livermore and on Thursday afternoon he drove through Bradgate to look at the damage. Bradgate makes up part of the Twin River Valley school system. He said the damage was devastating.

People lined up the length of the Twin River Valley High School gym and beyond to get an autograph from Clark. Clark came prepared with a stack of eight by 10 photos showing his first NFL reception. His brother, Derrick of Humboldt, also assisted at the table. All of the $10 charged for each autograph went to the Bradgate fund. About $5,000 was raised from the autographs alone.

Items such as Clark and Peyton Manning autographed jerseys, a signed Indianapolis helmet and the shoes Clark wore when he broke his foot were auctioned off. The Manning jersey went for $1,600. Clark's jersey went for $1,150.

Serving as Master of Ceremonies was Marv Cook, former NFL player and star tight end at the University of Iowa. Cook joked he was glad to introduce the "second best tight end to ever play at Iowa."

TRV Principal Don Hasenkamp said Clark, a former DARE role model, comes back almost every year to talk to elementary students.

In addition to the autograph session, volunteers served a meal of hamburgers, chips, baked beans and refreshments for a free will donation.

Television stations were on hand and several reporters interviewed Clark. Clark also spoke to those in attendance and answered their questions.

Unfortunately, fellow legendary Twin River Valley athlete Fishhead was unable to attend due to circumstances with his current job at the nations #1 sports forum on the internet, The Prescription.
