good thing about Sears is once you spend some coin there, they will go out of their way to make you happy with future purchases. They seem to be loyal to their customers.

I did buy my washer and dryer at a local "mom and pop" shop. Great experience. They had them hooked up at no charge within 3 hrs of the sale.

Fish....don't know if they have one near you, but I actually bought a W/D at the Sears outlet here......."damaged" goods.......there is a dent in the side of the washer, about the size of a baseball...but it is against the dryer so you don't see it anyway and the dryer has a dent in the back about the size of a 1/2 dollar....they are brand new and come with the same warranties as they would at the regular Sears store.....saved about 35% off the normal prices.....had them almost 6 years now.....no problems.....

Same here Sherman, have the Kenmore HE3T washer, great machine. I agree about no insurance on a washer.

Just bought a set at Best (Worst) Buy ...

LG Electronics, front loaded wash-machine, high efficency dryer ... in black ...

they actually look very nice ...

set me back around $2700.00, because if you buy a front-loaded washer, you will need to buy the pedestals to raise the heigh of the machine.

P.S.

LG Electronics offers the best standard warranty of all the major wash machine/dryer combos.
