Not in the US Congress for now, but the usual suspects have said they will issue one again. Its early in the two year session and lots of people want to focus on the big issues first, the ones the GOP thinks they have momentum on after the election. After the SS idea bogs down in opposition and the budget issues slow down, other stuff will start emerging and that could include the bans.
If my sources are right, three current bills are going in IN, MT, and WA that specifically call out internet gambling as illegal. I am hearing all three seem likely to go through. I have my doubts about the federal bills, I think it just gets further and further away from them each new session of Congress. If they don't do it by the end of this one, which ends at the end of 2006, I would venture a guess that they have no chance to get one done. Too many legal gambling interests want in to let it pass.
