after about 25 years of going to a barber shop for my hair cuts, i've got an appointment today to get it cut at a salon. anyone else get their hair cut from a salon instead of a barbershop? price is 3x that of a barber.

if you have long hair or like that pretty fluffy look the salon is better.

if you get fades, crew cuts, cesaers, and flat tops and generally short mens hair cuts the barber is better.

the salon also has more eye candy if you catch my drift, but you cant have a lot of cool "guy discussions" like at a barber.

not sure it is a salon - but there is this place right by me - sort of a hair "styling" place that i have been going to for at least 15 years and have had the same stylist for almost that long. it is GREAT to just walk in, sit down and know the person cutting your hair knows how you like it w/o having to say a word.

my stylist USED to be hot - her original pic still is on her license - but she has since added at least 50 pounds. there is another stylist there - she got there about 5 years ago. when she first started out she was playboy playmate HOT! maybe 5-feet tall - at most - GREAT slim-trim body and all. then she had at least 2 kids and now looks like she could BE (NOT play it - but be the ENTIRE line) the offensive line in the NFL.

looking at her it is apparent she has eaten a lot of varities of meat/sausage in her life :103631605

Salon for men only. Place out here treats you like a king. TV's at every booth, beer served to you, and you can get Massages and anything else you want to pamper yourself

youre right winky. those salons have some awesome chics. but if you walk away from a salon thinking you got a good looking cut, youre still stuck on the chic :>Grin>

The chicks are hot at a salon. Plus, barber shops are for simple cuts, salon chicks style your hair.

If you want to get some booty, take the advice of a woman who cuts your hair.she will style it so other woman will like it.

Plus, the shampoo girls are great. They really try to massage my scalp. The last thing I need is a dude washing my hair.

When I had long hair, befoe and after military, I used a ladies shop to get a cut, but since, I wear a short cut which any reg barber can do just fine.

I've been using a Flowbee for the last 5 years. Bought it for $75. Saved hundreds of dollars. I cut my hair once every 2 weeks.

it all depends. theres a lot of societal and socialogical issues involved with each way to go. they are all nothing super serious of course, but no one solution fits everyone.

for me, talking about politics and sports with the guys or getting a good chuckle over the loser crackhead on the corner while im getting a solid cut for 8 bucks is my thing.

for others its different. i did the girl/puzzy boobs touch my hair while a get wash trip a while back, but that was a different me. its not how i get my jollies anymore.

In my opinion nothing beats the barber..The one I goto shaves you with a ravor and warm cream and use a hot towel over your face; I walk out of there feeling like a new man...
