Bodog.com Sports Casino Poker™ is pleased to announce that as of today’s date, Bodog.com is an officially licensed trademark in the United States of America.

Bodog.com, rapidly becoming the largest brand in online gambling, poker and entertainment, is now the first trademarked gaming operation in the US.

“We have been building a solid mainstream brand over the previous years, and this is a culmination of many people’s efforts to aide this process,” said Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com Sports Casino Poker. “With the rapid growth of poker, online gambling has been moving to a much more mainstream entity, as opposed to being taboo, and we saw this as a key opportunity to trademark our brand.”

Over recent years Bodog.com has been vaulting past the competition, and with the brand now legally trademarked more great things are on the horizon. Over the past two months Bodog.com became the lead sponsor of the Hawaiian Tropic Super Bowl Bikini pageant and party, spent two days in the highly coveted NFL Media Center in Jacksonville, and recently sponsored the Silver Spoon Hollywood Buffet prior to the Academy Awards in Los Angeles, CA.

In 2004 Bodog.com was also named to the Power 25 list of online companies, ranked among the top US lottery web sites by Hitwise.com in terms of site traffic, and most recently received their UK Bookmaker’s license from the UK government.

“The evolution of this industry happens so quickly that if you are not ahead of the game you are falling far behind the competition,” said Calvin Ayre. “We will continue to build our mainstream and entertainment brand while ensuring our offering is still the best available in the industry.”

it means that bodog <!--StartFragment -->recognizes the laws of the United States of America.

they now can not claim that they do not agree with US law.

you can't pick and choose which laws to abide.

It means:

1) No other company in America can use the Bodog.com brand without in any way without express permission from the owners of Bodog

2) Bodog will be target #1 if the U.S. starts to go after offshore gambling sites

BoDog has a US Trademark? Wow. There advertising makes what BoS is accused of look punitive by comparision and thats before Forbes.

BoDog would have been the #1 target in the US regardless of whether or not they protected their trademark. IMO, this is a good thing--the more legit the offshore industry looks the better it is for all concerned...

I think their lines on football suck. They dont give halftime lines on all collegehoop games, & their juice sucks. Anyone else feel the same way?

I deposited a small amount once and hated it.

The difference in Bodog and BOS is that:

Bodog has never operated in the United States and is not linked to organized crime.

The way I bet, it's like a discount shop. During football they make a lot of -105 and even lines when the suckers are betting heavy on one side. Since I always like the other side in those cases, I get great lines. If you'r a favorite bettor, stay away. But if you bet against the suckers, it's YOUR kind of shop!

It does bring up an interesting question:

How does the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office approve a trademark registration for a company which the Dept. of Justice claims to be providing an illegal activity to US citizens?

here is the thing... BoS as a company is ignoring US law (Judges and rulings)

Bodog (by applying for a US trademark) is USING the US law to protect themselves... how can they Ignore US Law in the future?

US government calls the Mounties and tells them they need to come up there to get Calvin because Calvins company is breaking US law...

Canada says "hey he is in Canada he doesn't reconize US Law"

USA says, "well according to this US Trademark he does"
