Hey guys,I received an e-mail that has an attatchment. When I click it,a message pops up that says,

"this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.Create an association in my computer by clicking view and then click folder options"

I tried to follow what it said but cant get this file to open:finger: The attatchment has the "windows98"(I think thats what it is) design.

You guys have helped me B4,hope I've explained this problem well enough so you can help me again:103631605

THANKS!

ATM,

I sorta understand what your asking...first thing I would do is forward it to my hotmail account to automatically scan for a virus, they use Trend Micro. Then if it clears right click and see what format it is in under properties and then get back to this thread with the info..and we can go from there. I'm sure TTinCo and Lander can help more than me if they see this..

That windows symbol just means it's not associated with a program.

Right click on the file, select properties & let us know what the type it (that will be the 3 letters to the right of the period. That will tell what program you need to open it.

It's a freebie to download (compression utility)

I downloaded winzip TTinco, now when I click the attatchment it takes me straight to winzip and has the options on top of page...."new" "open" "favorites" "add" etc. I messed with it and have NO idea how I did it or what I was doing but after going thru several different options,I got it to open. :103631605
