Espn just reported that Garcia has been signed to 4 year contract with the lions, and reunited with his former san fran coach Mariucci, after a dissappointing year with the Browns....

Harrington will feel the pressure now, as there is a decent qb backing him up...

Man......... Jeff Garcia have some weapons to work with!
If that Detroit offensive line can hold up, this offense will be dangerous!

No offense, but I have to disagree with ya there Fidel. I think Garcia is very talented and has more of a particular thing than most QB's...................Heart

Yeah, well..............we're talking about the Browns here! :movingeye :lolBIG:
Not much to work with there......
However, if I remember correctly, beginning of year before Winslow Jr was injured, he and Garcia hooked up big time.........

how many washed up or damn near washed up quarterbacks does that damn ford family want on that team in their lifetime. The lions qb situation over the last two decades has been absolutely horrible.Andre Ware,Charlie Batch Rodney Peete and the list could go on forever. Wether its a draft pick, free agent, or trade its been f**kin terrible. I grew up thru the Wayne Fontes era and I just can't believe the Ford family can't help make some better decisions for the last twenty years reguarding the QB's.

I am a Lions season ticket holder and I am sure glad we signed Garcia over Brad Johnson. Hopefully Garcia will compete for the starting because I can't stand another year of Joey.

Well you have joey harrington that throws at every receivers shoelaces or Garcia that hasn't shown any leadership abilities, and can't get out of the pocket. Not giving a season to Mike Mcmahon to lead the team will come back to haunt them. Brad Johnson at the very least is a field general that could really guide a corps of young receivers. I will say that mooch has at least put some hope in the city of detroit.

I think you guys' offensive line is a large majority of the problem. Still yet though,If I were the Lions, I would go ahead and give Jeff Garcia a shot RIGHT NOW. We've all seen what Garcia can do when he has some tools to work with, and barring major injuries, he will have load of them, there's no questioning his talent. Harrrinton is still young, he'll get plenty of opportunities.......
