I keep hearing that MLB is probably the most profitable sport to wager on.
What's the best way to bet on baseball?

Money Lines? Run Lines? Parlays? Totals? Etc...

And what kind of system would you recommend? e.g. fading a particular team over a span of time and vice versa, going with a team on a winning streak (or against on a losing streak), etc.

Get a feel for who is good by may 1rst and pound the good teams when the pitching matchup is good. Parlays are the way to go so you don't risk that much. 2-4 teams

And stay away from the RL. It always looks good for those big fav's you just don't want to spend the juice on but its the kiss of death. I was very luck when starting off to have a number of posters at anothe site warn me off the RL. They were right. The RL will bankrupt you. Baseball is scalping season.

U R soo right about the RL. It is a sucker play all the way my friend. Even more so when you take the home team on the rl. If the game goes extra innings, the only way you can win is with a 2 run homer or more.

You will build your bankroll by simply betting HOME dogs for a month and a half at season's start.

The losers will not yet have developed a losing mindset. Hope springs eternal at home in the spring. At home they will be competitive especially in inclement and cold weather. Some eventual losers and winners will not yet be sorted out by the books. The great clubs on the road early will not yet be playing with any great sense of urgency. Spring Training aside, the early season lines will be based a lot on last year. Each year there will be several dogs that go on runs at the start of the season. Identify them and run with them.

My suggestion is to flat bet every HOME dog in April no matter how unappealing a game may look. Many more reasons to do this than just what I listed above.

As the season progresses and after May 15th for the most part you can still follow this strategy but now you'll have to begin serious capping. You will need to identify the clubs that totally suck. [ 2003 Tigers for example ] Discard them and start throwing in a few favs and begin your serious work.

Take this advice to the bank. I generally get off to very good starts in bases.
