Did Pete Rose hurt baseball as much as Bonds, McGwire, Sosa and Lloyd Moseby!?

Okay Lloyd Moseby was just a joke, but he had a cool name...:lolBIG:

Back to the point, Rose may have gambled on baseball but I really don't think his poor decision to gamble on baseball was nearly as bad or misledthe fans of baseball as McGwire, Giambi, Sosa, Bonds and Co.

Yet Rose is still treated as a baseball ax murderer no one wants to be associated with him...

Which is worse? Is there even a comparison?:drink:

Rose was one guy betting a relatively small amount of money , he was ONE MAN ...

The Steroid users were MLB's whole decade of bogus superstars!:finger: Who made MILLIONS OF DOLLARS (otherwise they wouldn't have) BY CHEATING AND DECIEVING the fans of baseball.

Even versus the monetary impact, and tarnishing the integrity of records over decade? I'm not so sure its even remotely close...JMO

The overall impact, which hurt baseball more? What Rose did was wrong but didn't hurt the game at all...the game didn't miss a beat, Rose made it way worse than it really was by far! If Rose just admitted it, this would have never happened...it wouldn't even be remembered....The Steroid era will never be forgotten...

I would bet Rose never bet against., not saying what Rose did was right but betting against would have been much different....even though I'm sure he managed games differently when he had money on his Redlegs...I am softening my take on Rose, lets let Rose back in too if we're going to allow this steroids crap...Rose has paid enough.

The HOF is a joke!

The American Public should say the hell with the entire HOF until Pete gets in.

The difference between gambling on a game and juicing, is the juicers are selling tickets. Making everyone involved money. The general public wasn't buying tickets to see if Pete could keep his team under the total.

Rule number 1 in baseball - no gambling.

Enough said.

Don't think for a minute that he didn't give inside info out too, just as bad IMO. Rose should never be allowed into the HOF without paid admission. The steroid boys are darn near as bad, but at least they tried to better themselves and their team by taking steroids. Just remember if Rose didn't feel confident enough to bet on his team, that is just as valuable for a person to bet against the Reds.

I doubt Rose bet totals...Can you imagine Pete having over 8 and he pulls Mario Soto after 5 innings :lolBIG: for no reason....sending Eric Davis up 6-1 in the top of the 9th:lolBIG:

He bet on Cincy when he was manager, he never got into any kind of trouble is entire career. he put in 100% every game he ever played, it didnt matter what the score was he never gave up, he loved to slide on his belly. I think he helped alot of young kids that watched him play when they were growing up. I am not going to say that he was the best player ever to play, but I will say nobody played the game any harder than he played it.

No one! :103631605 he may have been a prick off the field but no one played harder, cared more about winning, maybe in sports history.

Shouldn't he manage the same way every game, to win. Johnny Bench knows.

Rose is twenty times the player that McRoid ever was.

He played the game hard and fair EVERY day, something that these shrivled testes premadonnas will never be able to say.

You guys can argue till your blue in the face; the fact is these guys did this out of selfishness, it had nothing to do with their team or being a team player...
