I have never seen anything like it ... its becoming more and more predictable lol

Keep in mind I am somewhat busting balls here but you have to admit, we have a forum full of homers !

I thought the Red Sox contingent of posters was bad, I thought Dante with his Steeler Nation was bad and Sportsbet with his Philadelphia freedom, and of course Sir Fishhead the king of homers :howdy: The Shrink with his Old Dominion and Va Tech Hokies, The General with his Go Horse, Bucsfan with his Bucs and his Notre Dame, Winky out west with his Lakers ,Kojak with his Cardinals, Glaken down south ...so many I can't even list them all, and now the latest crop of homers , the Illinois nation ! Fighting Illini and the Cubs.

:digit:D2 :digit:Blue :digit:Illini :digit:Korn :digit:GMoney :digit: FW <---Illinois posters frantically backing their Chicago based teams:lolBIG:

This was all in fun boys lol

My blood may be orange, but it sure isn't blue in the summertime. Half of Illini fans are Cardinals fans, not Cubs. It's split down the middle. Cards fan here. And this proud homer is ready to celebrate our national title in a few weeks!

U2 rocks, we haven't talked about them in awhile. Hey, we'll adopt you for the tournament, if you want to be a guest in Illini nation. It's going to be a fun ride. Why would you not root for this team? You have to admit, they are fun to watch, because they play so well as a team.

What is fun about this forum with all the homers, is that I realized during the baseball season that this was the most fun I have on the rx. We all go back and forth about are teams but rarely does it get mean spirited as it does during football and basketball. It is great to see how many passionate people who still love the national pastime. Through love and war, baseball is what brings everyone together! Best of luck homers this year and especially to all you Cub Fans! We will make sure Augie sends double the Bud this year so you can drink your sorrows away!

Can't forget my good buddy Hache man and his loyalty to the old John McKay led Buccaneers teams, Barry Manilow, Madden Football, and baseball cards...

He will occasionally remind us he looks atleast 10 years younger than his age too .:manwh:

dante and journeyman,

I think the reason many of us get along during baseball season is that baseball seems to be more for the love of the game and not the money to be made as football and basketball. If I didn't play one single baseball game the entire season I wouldn't lose any sleep over it as to me I don't often bet on baseball because it is my true passion from my playing days and since I coach youth baseball, I try to take the time off. Being the manager, I feel like it is taboo to bet on baseball as even though it doesn't matter, I don't want to be a Pete Rose. Anyway, I have been looking forward to this season since the evening Sox swept my Cards and have actually followed off season more closely than football and basketball this year. Really looking forward to the week in June when both Sox and Yanks play in St. Louis. Ought to be some of the best baseball this year and hope all teams are health so that I can guage Cards and where they stack up this year vs AL!

I may be the most impartial fan on this forum.

I am not a homer! :suomi:

Actually a bigger ND fan than Illini. Just have to protect the good faith of the Illini vs the evil-doers from ACC-land. :howdy:

Having said that, Illini better pick up the pace or they will have an earlier summer than expected.

The absolute biggest homer on this forum that I have met personally is STADIUM with the IOWA Hawkeyes.

I am sure if you ask him right now he would tell you that IOWA is going to win the Big Dance...........and believe it.

He has never made a wager AGAINST Iowa in his life.
