I think it's difficult to say W#1, now that Shaq's there who makes things so much easier ..........(ala Kobe Bryant)

No way. Too many players with as much game and more size. Shaq saves him a lot of double teaming and attention from bigger defenders. A great player no doubt, a likely perennial all-star, but best? Lebron and Amare will have something to say about that for the next ten years.

As they say you can't coach size and those two guys got a lot more of it than Wade does. I do like Amare a lot, but my favorite Sun is actually the Matrix. Loved him at UNLV, was thrilled the Suns drafted him, and still only wear Marion jerseys. But STAT is a specimen, you never see anyone do that elevate and then thunderous dunk like he does. When he gets better and more savvy defensively he will be something else. Suns have quite a task keeping everyone in the fold in a couple of years without major luxury tax issues.

Agree that shaqer helps him. I am not sure who the best player in the NBA is. I will never say shaq, cause he's just a freak. I suppose Duncan or Garnett overall.

Dwayne Wade is a great basketball player, but noway I would swap Lebron James for him. I think Lebron James will soon be the most dominant player in the NBA.

Totall agree with you World Number One. I am not sure if he will be considered the "best player in the NBA", however, he will surely be in the same category as Kobe, Lebron, KG, Duncan, Shaq. As an avid Heat fan and season ticket holder, I get to see him play more than the average fan. I have watched every game of his since last year. He is a special player and talent. He has been working on his jumpshot lately in practice with one of the Heat assistant coaches, Eric Spolstra, and all the wrok is starting to show. You may have seen it pay off last night. LOL. The kid is for real and once he hits that jumpshot on a consistent basis, he will be the most complete player in the league. He is a great rebounder for a guard and he leads the league in blocked shots at the guard position. Also 7th in the NBA in assists and that is with him primarily playing the 2 guard spot. Also, is in the top 10 in scoring, but does not shoot that much a game. If he were getting the same 25-30 shots that Kobe and AI get nightly, he would be leading the league in scoring. Also, he is a great clutch player and a great free throw shooter. Everyone will get to see plenty of him later this year, when the Heat are playing the Spurs in June. :103631605

No doubt that Wade is becoming a great great player. But James>Wade now and 10 years from now James will still be > Wade.

Amare will be the best player in the next 2 years. Wade in the top 5 but not the best. Amare is a more complete player. You can double team Wade but a double team will have no effect on Amare.

he was very close to single handedly leading the heat (without shaq) to the Eastern Finals last year in his rookie year...

I seem to remember Odom getting 17 points and 8 boards a game in last year's playoffs. Not Shaq, but not as if it was Wade and no one else out there.

U are kidding right

As a Heat fan

Butler + Eddie Jones did nothing in playoffs

so LeBron having Carlos Boozer and not making playoffs wasn't a factor
