Do All Books Grade Season Total Win Wagers After the Season is Complete????

I played the Heat season total wins over 50.5 at Pinnacle and thought that I would be getting paid at the end of the week being that the heat are currently sitting with 50 wins. When I e-mailed Pinny, I was told that they would not grade the wager until the regular season is officially over. just wondering if all books graded like this? thanks

That is because of the season does not go 98% in its entirity, ALL BETS ARE OFF.

This is to protect the sportsbook if the season should end early for some reason.

For example, baseball futures usually require a minimam of 160 of 162 games played.

Say you bet the OVER 80 on the Phillies and they indeed were at 82 but then the season ended.

What if they were at 79 and the season ended......how would you feel.

What about those with the UNDER?

Would one expect the sportsbook to pay this?

You see, this protects all parties involved and is a very good rule.

Thanks guys. I was hoping to have a little extra cash in my account for March madness, but I guess I will have to wait. Thanks for the replies.

I have on occasion been paid early, by request for smaller bets at lesser known books. It was a long time ago and I forgot who did it. No book is obligated to do it.

EXCELLENT point Doug!

Since this is an UNregulated industry, call the sportsbook and see if they might accommodate you.

I guarantee some will do so and it is worth a shot.

Many times, if you're an old customer, they'll try to accomodate you, but normally they do put on the rules that the team must play a certain amount of games, in NBA most of the time is the regular season/ 82 games.
