If you are a fan of a college basketball program that usually is down and out, this story is for you. For all those loyal to a school mired in mediocrity, March Madness brings a ray of hope.

5Team it changes year to year. In general dogs do well in first two rounds, but best to avoid some of the biggest dogs who often treat the game as just a chance to be on TV after the opponent overwhelms them early.

Good dog bets are on teams from top conferences who are used to the talent of the very best teams out there. Also good are mid-major conference winners playing big program teams that might underrate them Normally I would say ODU is in a good spot, but since MSU lost to UNR last year I don't they will take them lightly at all. The teams to avoid are 14-16 seeds who had no or few encounters with top 50 teams. Just too hard to prepare for the speed and size of the best teams when all you face are teams at your level.
