PBS is doing a show right selling a 4 dvd set for 200 bucks..

75 artists , 105 songs..

i watched a lot of it back then..

freddie mercury stole the show..

anybody remember it ? or is this crowd to young ?

I remember having nausea every time I accidentally flipped the channel to it. I had no clue about politics at age 18 but it just felt all wimpy and fvcked up somehow.

Bob Geldof just put out the dvd in stores during xmas time as many bootlegs were starting to come out. Cost about $30 or so.
That dvd has about 2 songs by each artist.

It was one of the performances that brought U2 to the next level. Queen definetly was the highlight of the dvd set i saw over the holidays.

I watched ,first time I had seen u2,liked them better then.....I got the the 4 dvd set for about 60 cdn though not 200

I remember how hyped they got about Phil Collins playing both shows. I never knew who most of those English bands were, but I was up at like 6am watching the thing with my babysitter. My parents went to Vegas that weekend and I had to deal with a girl that was calling her girlfriends every 5 minutes screaming "oh my God!".

it was a who's who of the music industry..

U2 put themselves on the top of the mountain right around then.. Been there ever since..

they should put together a 20 year reunion fundraiser with some of the best from then and some of the best from now..
