of a good wide spectrum antibiotic? I almost never take medicine, but during the last 6 months I got two cases of a horrible cold/fever. The first time I paid the doc because the idiots at the drugstore did NOT want to sell me anything stronger than tylenol (give me a break........I look ready to pass out and he suggests tylenol..........)

Any help would be appreciated

hey buddy, amoxicillin is not bad, but it's simple. buy ceclor, it's much better and about 10x as expensive but you take one every 12 hours and it will clean up ear infections, coughing up crap, etc. trust me, my wife has asthma and takes it because she can't risk getting a bad cough going. most of the fischel pharmacies DON"T have it, you may have to go to biblica pharmacy or to the cima hospital or the cima clinic in san pedro by the mall...hope you feel better....HF

Colds don't respond to antibiotics because they caused by viruses. Secondary bacterial infections do respond to antibiotics.

Colloidal silver {at health food stores}, but ditto what Woody said.

A friend of mine who presently has a cold/fever was also given
Tylenol by her doctor. It is for the pain.

Feeling tired is a common symptom. Lots of rest & liquids are
commonly recommended.

the fever I always get is due to (in 90% of the cases in me) because of a throat infection so I usually put up with it until the body can defend itself but this time I am in the middle of 300 things and don't really have the energy to do that so a nice antibiotic usually gets everything in shape

Its hard for me to translate what I have because what you call "the flu" its something completely different there than what I typically call "the flu" down here in CR

Back on business today
